Introductions + Juice Fast Day 1!

Welcome to my blog! This is my very first post and I am super excited to get started! My name is Hannah and I am on a journey to improve my health. I have chosen to do this by starting a 60 day juice fast and then continuing on after that I have considered a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle.

So you may ask why am I going to such drastic measures to get healthy? Well, I'll tell you! I am overweight, my last doctors appointment showed that I may be approaching diabetes soon if I don't lose weight, I have a hormone disorder known as PCOS, I am on several medications for depression, anxiety, migraines, blood sugar, heartburn, etc. and I just turned 24 last week! I needed a change. I hope that you will enjoy my journey toward improving my health in a world where medicating it is easier than fixing it.

Today is Day 1 of my 60 day Juice Fast. I chose to start today because I have a few days off work and thought it would be a good idea to start when I won't have to worry about feeling off at work. So far today I had an appointment this morning so I got a juice from Starbucks that is High Pressure Pasteurized so the nutrients stay as intact as possible. It wasn't bad although the greens will take some getting used to. For the rest of the day I have a tomato based juice that I made which if I survive the day I will post a recipe for :). I am a little hungry so I will probably have another juice soon. I will let everyone know how today went! I am going with a have a juice when i'm hungry because I am not organized enough to remember to have one every 3 hours or something. I would never keep track of that :D. I will leave you with my starting weight on this journey and hope that you enjoyed my introduction!
